PS: In full disclosure, I hope to never, ever, ever see Matsuzaka in a Red Sox uniform again. If you'll scroll through the link posted you'll understand why I think he's one of the biggest flops this front office has made since taking over. A horrible pick up (no matter where he came from). It took exactly one season for major league hitters to adjust, lay off, and let him walk them around the bases instead.
I think Kyle Weiland in AAA Pawtucket may get a spot start if Wake struggles and Aceves cant go. After Lackey comes back on Sunday (I have tickets to this game. great) Weiland, Wake, Aceves, Doubront will take a shot at the 5 starter spot.
Also I think the loss of Rich Hill may be the straw that kills us this year. yeah Yeah he was an aging Lefty Specialist but he was really really good and someone you could count on recently.
Rumor from Soxprospects.com and Twitter Tommy Hottovy now pitching in AAA Pawtucket will be called up. If so he will need to be added to 40 man roster. Dice k and Hill will probably head to 60 day dl.

ReplyDeleteAlso take a look at Extra Bases on Boston.com. Oki says he wants to move on from Red Sox and does not see him fitting the LH bullpen need.
