5/30/11 - 6/1/11 White Sox vs Red Sox

I made my come back and ready to take over first place just like the Red Sox!

Quick post and back to the long weekend! Every weekend should be a 3 day weekend! Hope everyone is enjoying it!

Jake Peavy (1-0, 3.00) vs. Jon Lester (7-1, 3.36)

Predictions: Randy: Red Sox Win Brad:red sox win

Gavin Floyd (5-4, 3.61) vs. Alfredo Aceves (2-0, 2.22)

Predictions: Randy Red Sox win Brad: red sox win

Phil Humber (3-3, 2.85) vs. Tim Wakefield (2-1, 4.14)

Predictions: Randy: Red Sox lose Brad: red sox lose

When you called I thought I picked a sweep. However, I had actually picked a loss. I thought wake was due for a flop and humber had been pitching well.Sorry for the confusion.

Brad and I have been friends for over 8 years! How did our friendship start? By drinking beer and talking Boston Red Sox baseball! Many arguments over the Red Sox ensued like: Should Grady keep Pedro in? Was Pedro defending himself when the rhino Zimmer was heading his way? Till now, was signing Carl Crawford the right free agent move? We often argue, but we are best friends and avid fans.

Jody Reed and Marty Barrett these guys were who I idoled growing up! They weren't flashy, but they grinded out at bats and flashed a little leather. When I played baseball I knew where I would go with the ball before it was hit to me. I was and still am a student of the game! That's what I want from 3 Up! 3 Down!; smart banter between people who respect the game.

My name is Brad, and I'm a die-hard Sox fan. Through the years, despite the failures, the collapses, the bad moves, and the Grady Littles, this team brings me joy; it's not always immediate, and it's not always overwhelming, but each and every one of my summers are more enjoyable because of the Red Sox. Randy, my co-author, is my friend and vent through each muggy July and August. I have a nasty disposition when it comes to bandwagon fans (Cowboy up, bitches), and most everything New York. Anyhow, you'll get the point through most of my posts: I'm not a fan of individual players or their contracts. Yes, I have my favorites, but above all else, I always want what is best for the Red Sox, and if that means ripping a player, then so be it. I have ZERO loyalty to individual statistics or accolades. If a guy who hits 30HR a year won't sacrifice a guy to third, I have no use for him.
